i need one that gets rid of everything and not one that scans your computer then ask's you to pay for it to get rid of what it finds...damn pop-ups and ad's are drivin me crazy..so much for mcafee..and yahoo's pop-up blocker...bit of a waste of time if there lettin some through...help!!!!!!

Download the 'FREE' spyware buster from Yahoo - I've had it on-board for more than a year now. Ain't seen no spies.

Crap-cleaner is an excellent and fast cleanup utility

Adaware SE personal and Spybot S%26D combine to remove pretty much anything.

Spybot also has an 'immunize' feature.

All are free, many professionals use them and they won't ask you for money (Except for a donations link on their websites)

ALSO - I use Google toolbar with Mozilla firefox browser- they both help me with popups so the 'crap' never gets there in the first place

I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from the following link. http://www.computeractive.co.uk/ On the home page select downloads and then the appropriate category.I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps.
