There are so many variants of spyware it takes a number of tools to clean everything off.

When working on a PC that has been infected I visit trend micro and run housecall.

Additionally, I run AVG free edition.

It could take awhile depending on how infected your machine is, however restoring it is usually a last resort.

Step 1.

Go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and scan with housecall. It may take awhile but let it scan the entire hard drive.

Step 2.

Update McAfee.

Step 3.

Download Windows Defender.http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security... Let it scan completely.

Step 4. Download Spybot Search and Destroy. http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybo...

The above will hopefully help resolve the spyware issues you are having.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, you will have to search for ways to remove the specific variants of spyware you have. There are tools available for specific worms, trojans and junk that get installed.
